Statement I've been an artist always, and in recent years, an author. But sometimes, I think I'm more like a bird collecting feathers and twigs, beads and paper, odds and ends. Sparkly things, rusty things, trifles - sooner or later I'll make them into a doll, a collage or a necklace. Upon starting an artwork I usually don't have a particular goal in mind, although sometimes a color, a word, or a special bead will spark an idea. Once inspired, I gather up all the materials that call to me and let the work unfold as it will. The unfolding is what I love, the mysterious part, the fun part.
